Laser Applications
Invisible dusts and fumes that are generated in closed environment is much more hazardous than those that are generated in an open environment. In closed environment the dust particles that cannot escape out circulates inside thus increasing the risk of inhaling toxic fumes multiple times. Many small scale industries use cheap and low cost laser cutting and engraving machines which might generate many harmful particles. Several laser applications like marking, metal engraving, etching, coding, cladding and many more produce huge toxic & dangerous fumes.
Industrial process uses different types of lasers such as co2, nd yag, fiber etc. to cut several materials such as wood, acrylic, glass, aluminum, and these produce different kinds of hazardous particle wastes and harmful gases such as Sulphur Dioxide,Nitrogen Dioxide etc. Harmful and hazardous dusts generated by the laser cutting machines can be removed by using laser fume extractors, downdraft table, soldering fume extractors or welding fume extractors.
